An overwhelming listen, The Bomb Grant is the final album from Michael Kaufmann (ex-Soul-Junk) and Wayne Feldman. Upwards of two years time was spent crafting the edge of noise into a kind of technological voodoo. The impulse to give a circuit board a soul exists and is abandoned. However soft ears will bear out the Spirit inside.

“However, this isn’t a perfect record, as perfection would only ruin the idea here… When the listening experience is over, and all the pieces fall into place, there’s still a large degree of uncertainty as to whether the experience was enjoyable, enlightening, or even worthwhile. Neither bad, nor good, nor indifferent, it has a coldness which overwhelms the pockets of raw feeling that emerge unexpectedly. The Bomb Grant is good way to put an amicable end to Therefore’s long partnership, even if it won’t necessarily put them on the music map for the rest of eternity. For the experimentally inclined, however, it makes for an interesting 36 minutes and two seconds, and would probably make a good soundtrack for cleaning the house.”- Urban Pollution

“Rather than being a mere spontaneous combustion sort of recording, this album is a combination of spontaneity and precise detail. Considering the fact that most folks would consider this random noise, this may seem confusing. But it is the attention to detail that makes this collection of noise entertaining and credible. An interesting twist is that cellos are sifted into the mixture on occasion. Perplexing music with depth.”- Baby Sue

Digital never sounded so disturbed. After performing live for 30 hours straight, remixing Xn. and Soul-Junk, recording a songless ode to AM radio (in mono on cassette no less), charging an hours wage per CD and intentionally erasing all traces of their existence, therefore propagates the greatest "free" album ever made.

A high concept/low frequency full length album years in the making, L.G.F.C.A. is therefore at their finest. The spirit of early Aphex Twin is conjured in the cello/violin/acid beats of "Mexico On A Budget" whilst tracks like "Apartment Complex" and "Free Soundtrack" startle with their anti-chrome, pro-implosion sound. On L.G.F.C.A. the ego has been remixed into white noise and live snare drum hits. “The album is a sonic implosion of sounds along every frequency with bouncing pings and pongs, skittering video game like explosions and white-noise. It’s avant-garde at it’s purest for the new millennium. Move over Bela Bartok.”- Exit Magazine

“I listened to Ocean, and no-one is more surprised than I to find myself telling you all that it is really something to hear. It’s one of the most pleasant listens I’ve had in months. It’s that rare kind of recording that’s almost always welcome… “Petrel” and “Mariner” — quietly stun the listener the way they do, it’s a low-key delight. The whole second side, with its listlessly plucked banjo and flurries of tambourines, is something I’ve found myself returning to almost compulsively. It’s got the hypnotic allure of a snowy television screen.”- John Darnielle, Last Plane To Jakarta
